Crossrail archaeology dig

As part of the excavation of a Crossrail site near Liverpool Street Station, a team of archaeologists moved in to find a huge amount of London history. A burial ground, Roman road and over 1000 artefacts spanning 2000 years has been dug up. This includes pottery, weapons and even a tiny golden phallus which would have been worn as a brooch to ward of evil spirits.

Adult Ball Pool

A creative agency in West London recently turned their exhibition space in to a ball pool that adults could play in – 81,000 white balls to throw yourself in to! Of course everyone went mad for it and once the press got wind of it, it completely booked up in an instant. I was lucky enough to shoot it (and have a jump around!)

Leadenhall Building

The Leadenhall Building, aka The Cheesegrater, was opened late 2014 and I got the chance to go up to the 47th floor for a sneak peak. It stands at 224 metres tall and there’s a pretty impressive view of the City from up there.

William Morris Gallery

Situated in a house built in the 1740’s and set in Lloyd Park, Walthamstow, the William Morris Gallery reopened in August 2012 following a fantastic redevelopment. It is the only public gallery devoted to Morris – who for a period lived in the house – and is home to many permanent displays as well as temporary exhibitions by visiting artists. A new cafe and landscaped gardens influenced by the designs of Morris make this a must visit in the area. It is also a mere stones throw from my house!
