John Rylands Library, Deansgate, Manchester. A stunning Victorian Gothic building that was opened to the public in 1900. The library has the appearance of a church, though the actual concept was of an Oxford college library on a larger scale. It contains medieval manuscripts and examples of the earliest forms of European printing.
Ben,
I stumbled across your blog by accident. I love your photographs they have a wonderful depth and richness – I’m not much of a creative bod, but this would be my take on them. Thank you for sharing them on line.

I’m really impressed… For me, libraries like this have gone into history many years ago… I want to visit it as soon as autumn begins – it will be my small tour in Europe!) THANKS for very well done photos – I’m a photographer too 🙂
